At the CEDIA in Dallas a rumor suddenly circulated: There was something really new to see at Oppo. An Australian dealer then actually found the UDP-203, the future UHD player of the technology leader, at the booth and posted a few pictures. There has been no official announcement so far, which is why there is also uncertainty about equipment and technical data. However, you can see that the UDP-203 has three HDMI ports. With other UHD players, two sockets are common, with one for optimal sound quality only for audio signals. The third socket on the Oppo could therefore be an input through which 4K signals can be looped through. Perhaps the UDP-203 can even upscale image signals from external sources to 4K resolution? Who knows ... You can also see an analog 7.1 audio output, digital audio outputs, a total of three USB3.0 ports (one in the front) and a network connection. According to other rumors, the UDP-203 should also be equipped with 5Ghz WLAN. Oppo itself is still covered with details. The only official statement is that the player should hit the market "at the end of 2016". The price of around US $ 500 communicated in Dallas was not commented on either; according to German sales, one should reckon with € 750 in this country. The Oppo UDP-203 would still be a bargain. We will stay tuned and publish all reliable information on our website as soon as possible .
