At the ISE 2019, the Danish manufacturer Lyngdorf announced the TDAI-1120 integrated amplifier. Despite its narrow width of just 30 centimeters, the ultra-compact device offers an enormous range of features.
The new amplifier works with the same unique power amplifier technology as its bigger brothers in Lyngdorf's TDAI range and promises crystal-clear sound quality with all sources.
And there is a whole lot of it when needed, because the TDAI-1120 has no fewer than five digital inputs (including HDMI / ARC) and 2 analog inputs, including an MM-compatible phono jack.
But the amp's real qualities lie elsewhere: Connected to the home network via WiFi or Ethernet cable, it plays high-resolution music files from there via UPnP, AirPlay 2 or Roon, from the Internet it streams Spotify and Internet radio, and via Chromcast other streaming services can be integrated.
Such a large range of functions is of course best controlled using a separate app, which should be available for both Android and iOS at the start. Lyngdorf trusts this modern concept so much that a classic remote control will only be available as an optional accessory as things stand.
Like all amplifiers of the TDAI family, the 1120 comes with the integrated RoomPerfect room measurement. A RoomPerfect measurement can be done in a few minutes with the provided microphone and tripod and promises the best sound experience on the market right now.
Based on these key data, it is clear that the Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 will be one of the hi-fi highlights of 2020. It is expected to be available from mid-May for a price of EUR 1,999.00.
