New 600 series from B&W!

High-end sound thanks to high-tech material

The 600 series is probably the most successful loudspeaker range from the British loudspeaker manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins and has always been characterized by an excellent price / performance ratio. Over the years, the series has been revised again and again and upgraded with the latest technologies. Today the youngest incarnation of the series was presented and B&W proves that you can always do better. As before, the new series consists of two floorstanding loudspeakers, two bookshelf speakers, two center loudspeakers, a dipole / monopole surround loudspeaker and the three already known subwoofers. The tried and tested chassis with FST Kevlar membranes are used in all loudspeakers, which have given B&W loudspeakers their unmistakable look and sound for years. In the large floor-standing speaker, the 683 S2, two bass drivers also work with a new double-layer membrane construction that promises an even cleaner bass reproduction. The most important new feature of the series, however, is without a doubt the elaborately processed new tweeter with a double-layer dome, which was first used in the high-quality CM10. This high-end technology is now also used in all models in the new 600 series. Another special feature is the installation of the tweeters in the housing: the entire construction, including the patented 'Nautilus' tube, sits in a gel cushion and is thus completely decoupled from the rest of the housing. In conjunction with the revised construction, all the prerequisites are met for the speakers of the new 600 series to once again clearly surpass their predecessors in terms of sound.
