The Japanese manufacturer Technics is currently at full throttle, it seems. After the announcing the anniversary model SL-1210GAE Limited Edition a few weeks ago, the Osaka-based firm is already burning another fireworks display of novelties.
With the new integrated amplifier SU-R1000, the Japanese developers intend to prove what sound quality is possible with today's digital amplification. To achieve this, they have completely revised their advanced JENO-Engine amplifier technology and equipped it with additional innovations such as ADCT Active Distortion Canceling Technology and a new power supply unit. The unexpected secret highlight of the amplifier, however, is the intelligent phono input, which is automatically optimized for the phono cartridge used with the help of a calibration record that comes with the amp.
The TECHNICS SU-R1000 is expected to be available from November 2020 for € 7,499
The success model among the high-end all-in-one systems is being updated. The design is basically the same, only the colors have been changed. A lot more new stuff can be found, though, under the hood made of brushed aluminum: New speaker technology, revised digital amplification and a variety of new features including ChromeCast and Apple AirPlay2 promise even better sound and more fun listening to music.
Available from October 2020 in black and silver for € 899.
News from TECHNICS # 03: TECHNICS is an official partner of the Red Bull BC One, the most important breakdance battle in the world. To celebrate the event, the Japanese manufacturer is launching the SL-1210MK7R turntable as a 'Red Bull BC One' special edition. Available from October 2020 for € 999.
