Rediscovered musical treasures - Devialet THE LOST RECORDINGS

If you look at the products of the EXPERT or PHANTOM series from Devialet, you will find the most modern digital technology and an absolutely future-oriented design. So one cannot blame the French for living in the past. But for all their love of technology, the Devialet team consists primarily of real music fans.

That is why years ago you and the record label Fondamenta started looking for recordings by legendary artists that were considered lost and never published. It took more than a year until the first lost tape was found somewhere in an archive, but the music archaeologists stayed on the ball. The (previous) reward for this effort are seven unique recordings that have been painstakingly restored and now when strictly limited LPs were first released.

There are only 900 copies of each album, so that's a rarity in itself. Devialet goes a step further and offers very special versions of the seven albums for particularly ardent music fans - the Lacquer Edition. There are 30 so-called lacquer matrices - a kind of intermediate step in record production - which can be played like conventional records and offer an absolutely brilliant sound quality that even audiophile vinyl records cannot compete with. In addition to the exorbitantly high price (more details on request), the lacquers have another significant disadvantage: They are so sensitive that they have lost their sonic charm after playing once and must be viewed as destroyed after the third playback at the latest. So these are pieces for real collectors, similar to a very expensive wine.

Incidentally, Devialet does not want to be satisfied with the first edition of seven LOST RECORDINGS. The search has continued and is already working on the restoration of further recordings. Which these are is still a secret - but one can certainly be curious!
