T + A - the new R series

"Actually, we are scientists ... because T + A means theory and application in terms of audio technology." This is how the T + A catalog for the brand new R series begins - and we got this impression when we presented these new devices in the At T + A and a small factory tour for a look behind the scenes. What we still hear: How passionately science is carried out at T + A - because attention to detail and great enthusiasm for even the smallest component we encounter again and again on this day. In 1992 T + A launched the first R series, now followed by an innovative R series 2000. This includes the two integrated amplifiers PA 2000 R and PA 2500 R, a multi-source player MP 2000 R and a turntable G 2000 R. The latter is available in two versions. The first impression, even before we hear the first sound: Smaller, very high-quality housings made of hand-brushed aluminum - optionally in fine silver or classic black - in a timeless, pure design based on the predecessor, not only promise great visual pleasure in the new R series. An absolute novelty in the R series is the high-voltage technology, which was previously reserved for the HV series - the "small" PA 2000 R integrated amplifier is extremely load-stable and provides 200 watts at 4 ohms. The big brother PA 2500 R reaches 280 watts at 4 ohms. Strength and stability even under peak loads convinced us during a demonstration. Also new: Both come with three XLR inputs. Operation in a surround system via surround pass-through with activation via trigger signal is also possible.

The MP 2000 R multi-source player offers technology for almost all modern music sources (CD, FM-DAB + tuner, streaming client, Bluetooth, digital connecting board) and is equipped with a complex DAC. It not only converts PCM signals up to 384 kHz, but also DSD up to DSD 256 with the true 1-bit converter. And of course vinyl lovers are also considered. The G 2000 R record player comes with a modified aluminum die-cast tonearm from Rega with a 2M bronze moving magnet system as standard. It is optionally available with a modified tonearm with MC system from Clearaudio. The system can be controlled using the FM 100 remote control (included in the scope of delivery of the multi-source player and the amplifier) and, if desired, using the FD 100 system remote control with display or using the T + A Control app in conjunction with the multi-source Source player. Our conclusion: high quality convinces ears and eyes, thumbs up for the price-performance ratio. The detailed data and further information in our T + A R series shop in the Auditorium online shop .
