TV integration: hide the TV

Would you like to enjoy your favorite club, the popular series or current films on a beautiful, large TV? The 'telly' should not dominate the facility, but rather stay discreetly in the background when it is not in use? No problem, the AUDITORIUM experts will be happy to advise you on the options for elegantly integrating the TV. On request, we can even make the device disappear completely - without any magic, but with the latest technology, precise planning and perfectly crafted execution! In more ways than one, modern flat panel televisions are truly impressive. Often only a few centimeters thin, they offer huge images with rich colors and FullHD or even 4k resolution. But when you turn it off, you have a large black area that you don't necessarily want to see. The AUDITORIUM has therefore dealt intensively with solutions that help to integrate the television inconspicuously into the living environment. Various manufacturers offer a wide variety of systems for this purpose, the AUDITORIUM mainly works with the flexible TV mounts and lift systems from the British manufacturer Future Automation, as these have proven themselves in practice.

Wall bracket with a kick

One possibility, for example, is to sink the TV set flush into the wall when not in use and only move it to the ideal viewing position when it is switched on. As long as the structural conditions allow, there are hardly any limits to the imagination. Everything is possible, from simply tilting it for a more comfortable viewing angle to panning 90 degrees or more.

Hide the TV on the ceiling

What works in the wall can of course also work in the ceiling, and is often even less noticeable here. In addition, many buildings offer better options for hiding in the ceilings than in the walls. For example, the back of the lift system can be adapted to the color and material of the ceiling so that it is almost invisible when closed.

TV hidden behind picture

The option of hiding the TV behind a picture also arouses great interest. When the device is switched on, this is then moved up, down or to the side by motor, or - particularly impressive - it opens like a portal on both sides.

Individual TV furniture

If the wall or ceiling is not an ideal installation location, a furniture lift might be the right solution. Together with the cabinet maker, this can be perfectly fitted into practically any piece of furniture that offers enough space for the desired screen size. Here, too, the television moves into the ideal position when switched on, as if by magic, and disappears again automatically when switched off. However, greater technical effort is not always necessary or desired. It is often enough to develop an elegant solution together with a fireplace builder or interior designer, for example. The screen then fits in elegantly and inconspicuously into the bigger picture and no longer looks like a foreign body. This can go as far as hiding a television behind the mirror in the bathroom, for example, making it completely invisible when it is switched off.

Planning and advice

With all the variants presented here, two things are particularly important: careful planning and perfect cooperation between all the trades involved. This is where the years of experience of the AUDITORIUM experts pays off, because they know all the technical possibilities and have got to know the needs of the other parties involved in numerous projects. That is why they speak their language and meet them at eye level, so that we work together towards the same goal: the best solution for the customer.
