Update for HEOS: App and software with new functions

Denon is equipping its HEOS by Denon multiroom music system with an extensive update. The latest version of the HEOS software and the app for iOS / Android with numerous additional functions is now available for all users to download free of charge. Multiroom just got easier with this update: The focus is on new functions in the HEOS app:

All new functions of HEOS at a glance:

Stereo pairing

It is now even easier to combine two HEOS 3 speakers into a perfectly synchronized stereo pair. After setting up the stereo pairing, you can also adjust the balance and sound. The pair is then seen as a single HEOS client and a volume bar is available for this.

ALAC support

HEOS can now also directly access ALAC files from a computer, a NAS (Network Attached Storage) or the USB drive.

"Multiroom home cinema": IP control of network-compatible Denon AV receivers via the HEOS Link

The update now also enables bidirectional control of network-compatible Denon AV receivers in combination with the HEOS Link preamplifier. Home cinema systems from Denon can be operated in exactly the same way as the HEOS speakers themselves, and the result is the first “multi-room home cinema” of its kind.

Multiroom integration with other control systems

The update also releases the protocol for third-party control systems. With the help of self-written, certified HEOS drivers, they can then fully integrate HEOS by Denon into media control systems, including the integrated playlist and room management. Denon will consistently pursue this form of support in the future, update protocols and offer drivers or plug-ins for some systems.

Country selection

Use the HEOS system abroad? No problem: simply change the location via the app. This can be helpful if other streaming services are available there. Further information: HEOS in the auditorium
